ABOUT
Jesture is a London-based jewellery brand founded in 2024 by Ali Fitzpatrick, driven by her desire to create historically inspired pieces reimagined for the 21st-century.
Jesture began as an exploration of a long-standing fascination with hands and gestures of human connection, alongside the rich visual language of ancient iconography, medieval and Early Modern manuscripts, textiles and weaponry across cultures.
The figure of the medieval jester echoes throughout her work: both fool and sage at once, the jester is a nomadic storyteller defined by paradox. Her jewels encompass the spirit of the jester, serving as talismans that translate stories of old for the contemporary wearer.
Each piece is either one of a kind or produced in small batches. All jewels are handcrafted using traditional techniques such as lost-wax casting and made exclusively from recycled solid brass, silver and gold.
